Car and motorcycle crash in Deer Lake

An Orwigsburg man was injured following a car and motorcycle crash Saturday night in Deer Lake.

Schuylkill Haven State Police report that a car operated by Michaela Hasenhauer of New Philadelphia was stopped at the intersection of Laurel and Spruce Road. 40-year-old William Dallatore of Orwigsburg was traveling east on Spruce Road.

Hasenhauer reportedly failed to see Dallatore's motorcycle, and they collided. Dallatore was thrown approximately 10 feet. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Hasenhauer was not hurt, but will be cited for failing to yield.

The incident happened around 5:30 Saturday night.
