Heat continues...

These are the dog days of summer…and the heat is reaching dangerous levels.

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning from Noon today until Wednesday night. Temperatures are expected to reach near 100 degrees today, and with humidity factored in, it will feel like 110 outside.

If you have to be outdoors today, remember to drink plenty of water and stay in the shade if you are able. Make sure that you check on elderly neighbors and keep an eye on your pets during the oppressive heatwave.

Forecasters are expecting a break in the weather by week's end.
