Trial Update

Trial update at 5:30pm

At 4:10pm, the jury panel of 6 men and 6 women in the Shenandoah beating trial came back to Courtoom 1 at the Schuylkill County Courthouse to ask for clarification on several charges against Derrick Donchak and Brandon Piekarsky. Judge Baldwin explained the requirements to find guilt beyond a reasonable doubt on ethnic intimidation and reckless endangerment. Both are charges that have been lodged against the defendants. They also wanted clarification of the corruption of minors against Derrick Donchak. Deliberations continued.

At 5:15, the jury took a dinner break for one hour. No deliberations are permitted during that time.
