BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Officials say gunmen wearing Iraqi army uniforms seized a senior Iranian diplomat as he drove through a central Baghdad neighborhood today. A military spokesman denies that any U-S troops or Iraqis that report to them are involved.
CAPITOL HILL (AP) - Senate Republicans have blocked debate over a nonbinding resolution opposing President Bush's Iraq war plan. But Democrats say a debate is going to happen, one way or another. Negotiations over the issue are expected to continue today.
FORT LEWIS, Wash. (AP) - A judge in Washington state has barred a panel of law experts from testifying in the court-martial of an Army officer who refused to deploy to Iraq. The judge says the legality of the war can't be debated in the case.
WASHINGTON (AP) - Hasbro is recalling just under a million Easy-Bake Ovens that have been sold since last May. The company says it's gotten reports of children burning their hands on the toy. The recalled model is pink and purple and looks like a kitchen stove.
