BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - One visitor says gunmen separated the women before kidnapping as many as 150 Shiite and Sunni men from a government research institute in downtown Baghdad. An Iraqi official says gunmen wearing Iraqi police commando uniforms, claimed to be on a mission from the government's anti-corruption body.

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush is headed to Asia today on a trip that includes his first visit ever to Vietnam, the scene of an Asia-Pacific summit. National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley says trade, terrorism and bird flu will be the dominant topics of discussion.

BERLIN (AP) - Civil rights activists in Germany are suing to have prosecutors to open a war crimes investigation of former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and others. The suit is over alleged abuse at Abu Ghraib prison and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Iraq Study Group will talk today with British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who is advocating reaching out to Syria and Iran for help stabilizing the situation. President Bush met with the commission yesterday and says the members want America to succeed in Iraq, just like he does.

WASHINGTON (AP) - It's been a long time since the start of the U-S civil rights movement but Census Bureau data shows racial disparities in income, education and home ownership persist and could be growing. White household incomes were two-thirds higher than blacks and 40 percent higher than Hispanics last year.
