BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - On another brutal day in Iraq, police report at least 16 people have been killed in a bomb explosion on board a bus in eastern Baghdad. Incidents elsewhere have claimed at least ten more lives. Victims include an Iraqi television cameraman and a Sunni cleric heading to a mosque.

WHITE HOUSE (AP) - With the White House saying it's looking for fresh ideas on how to deal with Iraq, President Bush meets today with people who may have some. The bipartisan Iraq Study Group has been working on the problem for months and plans to make formal recommendations to the president and Congress next month.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - There's word that another top terrorist has been captured in Afghanistan. A provincial police chief says the senior al-Qaida member is one of six people detained by U-S and Afghan forces last week. A paper in Pakistan identifies him as a man who escaped from U-S custody last year.

CAPE TOWN, South Africa (AP) - At least 27 farm workers are dead near Cape Town, South Africa. Their crowded trailer being pulled by a truck got stuck at a crossing and was rammed by a commuter train. Officials say the crossing had warning signs but no barriers.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Martin Luther King Junior is getting a memorial in Washington. Oprah Winfrey and Bill Clinton are among those scheduled to take part in a groundbreaking ceremony today. The monument is not far from the Lincoln Memorial where King gave his memorable "I have a dream" speech.
