BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Police have found at least 29 more bodies scattered around Baghdad today, apparently the victims of torture.Two more American deaths are reported in Iraq, a soldier killed near Baghdad and a Marine who died in Anbar province.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Republicans are gaining some ground on Democrats in the battle for Congress, according to the latest Associated Press-Ipsos poll. It says voters view Republicans and Democrats as equally capable of protecting the country. But likely voters are still leaning toward putting Democrats back in control of the House and Senate.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Don't eat that spinach! Because of an E. coli outbreak, the Food and Drug Administration is advising people to throw out any raw, packaged spinach they have. Dozens of people have been sickened in a multi-state outbreak blamed on the same bug. One person died.

DETROIT (AP) - A veteran Ford worker in Detroit says"everybody's just kind of anxious" about what the future holds. The automaker's expected to announce today that it's offering buyouts and early retirement to thousands of hourly and salaried workers.

NEW YORK (AP) - Movie and music industry officials are calling it a significant blow to pirates. New York police have confiscated tens of thousands of bootlegged C-Ds and D-V-Ds and the equipment used to burn them. Police say the operation was set up to turn out six-thousand discs an hour.
