Congressional Redistricting

The 2010 Census not only counted how many people live in the United States, it also forces legislators to change the legislative districts and those who represent us in Congress. At stake is the possible split up of the 17th Congressional District, currently represented by Congressman Tim Holden. State Senate Bill 1249 and House Bill 5 are being moved through Harrisburg to split Schuylkill County into anywhere from 2 to 4 Congressional Districts. The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce is spearheading a campaign for residents to support keeping Schuylkill County in one legislative districts. There are several ways for county residents to make their voices heard. Online, people can respond by logging onto schuylkillchamber dot com. Or via phone, by calling the Chamber office at 622-1942 or 800-755-1942. The bills are expected to move through the Legislature early next week, so time is of the essence. Responders are asked to only vote their intentions once.

He says the client told police about the invite and a claim by Sandusky's lawyer that the meeting indicates the former coach remained friendly with several accusers is "grotesque."
