BURGLARY
A KLINGERSTOWN MAN IS UNDER ARREST ON ATTEMPTED BURGLARY AND ASSAULT CHARGES. THE INCIDENT HAPPENED EARLY SATURDAY AT A HOME ON VALLEY ROAD IN UPPER MAHANTONGO TOWNSHIP, AS 43 YEAR OLD TIMOTHY ROTHERMEL ARRIVED AT THE HOME AND BEGAN BANGING ON THE FRONT DOOR. THE HOMEOWNER ASKED HIM TO LEAVE SEVERAL TIMES, AND ROTHERMEL ENTERED THE PROPERTY, AND PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED THE WOMAN. STATE POLICE TOOK HIM INTO CUSTODY A SHORT TIME LATER.
READING WOMAN TRIES TO BRING DRUGS INTO PRISON
A READING WOMAN IS JAILED AFTER TRYING TO SMUGGLE POT INTO THE STATE CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION AT MAHANOY SATURDAY. 24 YEAR OLD KAREN BATTISINI-ARIZMENDI CAME TO VISIT AN INMATE AT THE PRISON, AND PERSONNEL FOUND MARIJUANA IN ARIZMENDI'S CAR, WHICH SHE INTENDED TO SELL INSIDE THE FACILITY. STATE POLICE TOOK HER INTO CUSTODY, CHARGING HER WITH POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DELIVER. FOLLOWING ARRAIGNMENT, ARIZMENDI WAS TAKEN TO THE COUNTY PRISON.
TRANSFORMERS DESTROYED
PPL ELECTRIC UTILITIES EQUIPMENT WAS DESTROYED, AND STATE POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR THE SUSPECTS.
