Breaking News-Four Arrested in Murder Investigation
FOUR MEN ARE CHARGED WITH HOMICIDE AND OTHER COUNTS IN THE DEATH OF A HAZLETON MAN WHOSE BEATEN BODY WAS FOUND NEAR BRANDONVILLE TUESDAY AFTERNOON. IN CUSTODY ARE 20 YEAR OLD SHANE ROOF OF PALMERTON, 19 YEAR OLD ANDREW TUTKO THE SECOND AND 25 YEAR OLD CURTIS FOOSE OF HAZLETON AND JEFFREY GOMBERT, AGE 19 OF JOHNSTOWN IN CONNECTION WITH THE MURDER OF 21 YEAR OLD ANTHONY LOCASIO. STATE POLICE INDICATE THAT LOCASIO WAS INVOLVED IN AN INCIDENT WITH TAMPERING WITH THE VEHICLE OF THE ESTRANGED HUSBAND OF ONE OF THE VICTIMS FRIENDS IN JULY OF THIS YEAR. THIS CAUSED A FEUD WITH FRIENDS OF THE VICTIM. LOCASIO ADMITTED HIS PART IN THE INCIDENT AND ALSO NAMED THE OTHER PERSONS INVOLVED. THE FOUR ACCUSED LURED LOCASIO TO THE SITE ON OLD MILL ROAD AND BEAT HIM WITH BASEBALL BATS, CAUSING HIS DEATH. THE FOUR WERE ARRESTED AND ARRA IGNED ON CHARGES OF CRIMINAL HOMICIDE, CONSPIRACY, AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND SIMPLE ASSAULT. THEY ARE LODGED IN COUNTY PRISON WITHOUT BAIL. A PRELIMINARY HEARING IS TENTATIVELY SET FOR SEPTEMBER 25TH AT 1PM AT DISTRICT JUDGE KILKER'S OFFICE IN SHENANDOAH.
