TWO SEPARATE VEHICLE ACCIDENTS SEND THE DRIVERS TO AREA HOSPITALS OVER THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND…

A KLINGERSTOWN MAN WAS TAKEN TO SHAMOKIN AREA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL AFTER SUSTAINING MAJOR INJURIES. 57-YEAR OLD ROBERT HAUCK CRASHED HIS DODGE RAM TRUCK INTO TWO TREES WHILE TRAVELING WEST ON VALLEY ROAD IN UPPER MAHANTONGO TOWNSHIP.

AND A PINE GROVE MAN WAS AIR-LIFTED TO PENN STATE MILTON SOUTH HERSHEY MEDICAL CENTER AFTER CRASHING HIS A-T-V. 30-YEAR OLD SCOTT BAILEY SUSTAINED MODERATE HEAD INJURIES AFTER HE LOST CONTROL AND FLEW OFF THE ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE HE WAS DRIVING.

A LOCAL BOROUGH IS NOTIFYING ITS RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES OF UPCOMING MAINTENANCE…

IN A PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SAINT CLAIRE BOROUGH FIRE DEPARTMENT – FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING AND SERVICE IS SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE BEGINNING MONDAY JULY 14TH THRU WEDNESDAY JULY 16TH FROM SIX TO NINE EACH EVENING. BOROUGH OFFICIALS SAY RESIDENTS MAY EXPERIENCE CLOUDY WATER AND SHOULD REFRAIN FROM DOING LAUNDRY – PREPARING MEALS AND BATHING. THE WORK IS TO CLEAR THE LINES OF ANY DEBRIS – CHECK FOR PROPER OPERATION OF HYDRANTS AND DETERMINE THE AVAILABLE WATER FLOW IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY.

TURTLE CREEK, Pa. (AP) - Authorities in Allegheny County aretrying to identify human remains found in a shallow grave in theyard of a Turtle Creek home. Neighbors say they are surprised bythe discovery in the tiny borough southeast of Pittsburgh.

EASTON, Pa. (AP) - The Easton City Council is considering a lawthat would let the city permanently seize the car of anyone caughtcruising for a prostitute. But it's unclear if such a law wouldhold up in court. Police Chief Larry Palmer says such a law isworth trying.
