BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Two of Saddam Hussein's co-defendants could soon share his fate. An Iraqi government official says preparations are being made to hang two of Saddam Hussein's co-defendants tomorrow. The two men were originally scheduled to hang last Saturday along with Saddam.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - Mourners in Michigan have been moving quietly and solemnly through the moonlight to get a chance to say goodbye to former President Ford. One woman who brought her five children calls it a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." There's a private funeral today.
UNDATED (AP) - The governor of Kansas will see for himself today just how much damage a major snowstorm had caused to the western part of his state. The governor will fly over the affected area, in the aftermath of a storm that dumped up to 36 inches of snow and caused widespread power outages.
ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP) - Abygail and Madysen Fitterer will be getting a chance to live separate lives today. Doctors in Minnesota plan to separate the five-month-old twins, who're joined at the chest. The babies' livers are also joined and they share some intestine.
HOUSTON (AP) - The penalty phase of the trial for a truck driver, who could face the death penalty for his role in a human smuggling attempt, resumes this morning. Yesterday, the mother of one of the 19 immigrants who died in the incident said driver Tyrone Williams "had no compassion."
