BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - U-S troops have killed 13 suspected insurgents today in a raid on their hideout south of Baghdad. News of the raid comes as the military announces that four more American troops were killed in Iraq yesterday.
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - Iran has reportedly test-fired three new models of missiles in the Persian Gulf. Iranian state television says the short-range missiles were built for naval warfare.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Missouri and Iowa are on President Bush's pre-election travel schedule today. The president's trying to give Republicans a boost in close races but is appearing only in states he won in the 2004 presidential race.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - The acting senior pastor at a Colorado church says evangelical leader Ted Haggard has admitted to some of the accusations leveled at him. Haggard has resigned from two pastoral jobs in the wake of gay sex and drug allegations.
LOS ANGELES (AP) - There's a funeral today for Jason McKay, one of the five firefighters who died battling the Esperanza arson fire least of Los Angeles. The other four services will follow, through Tuesday. Sunday, a memorial near San Bernardino will honor all five. Officials have charged a mechanic in the case.
