A RECENT RASH OF CRIMINAL MISCHIEF HAS STATE POLICE LOOKING FOR ANSWERS. SINCE THE BEGINNING OF MAY STATE POLICE IN SCHUYLKILL HAVEN AND IN HAMBURG HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THE PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR SMASHING OUT WINDOWS OF VEHICLES IN THE SCHUYLKILL HAVEN AND HAMBURG AREAS. PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE REPORT THAT ON MAY 5TH SOMEONE THREW A BRICK THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD OF A FORD F150 IN THE AUBURN AREA AND AGAIN IN SCHUYLKILL HAVEN AND IN DEER LAKE. THEFT AT TURKEY FARM
STATE POLICE AT FRACKVILLE ARE INVESTIGATING THE THEFT OF A BLACK LEATHER WALLET CONTAINING $130 IN CASH AND OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION. THE THEFT OCCURRED MAY 4TH IN WALKER TOWNSHIP AT THE KOCH'S TURKEY FARM. THE VICTIM 53 YEAR OLD MARCUS MIRANDA REPORTED TO OFFICIALS THAT HE LEFT HIS WALLET IN A BATHROOM OF THE TURKEY FARM AND WHEN HE RETURNED AN UNIDENTIFIED MAN FLED THE SCENE IN AN UNKNOWN DIRECTION OR UNDETECTED. FATAL CRASH IN PERRY TOWNSHIP
POLICE ARE NOW INVESTIGATING A FATAL CRASH IN BERKS COUNTY THAT HAPPENED FRIDAY NIGHT. 50-YEAR-OLD GLEN ALLEN SAYER WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE AFTER FLIPPING HIS MOTORCYCLE ON WEST SHORE DRIVE IN PERRY TOWNSHIP. POLICE REPORT SAYER WAS NOT WEARING A HELMET. WEST SHORE DRIVE WAS CLOSED FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE HOUR UNTIL THE CRASH WAS CLEARED.
NEW TRIPOLI WOMAN CRASHES INTO WALL
A NEW TRIPOLI WOMAN SUFFERED SERIOUS INJURIES AFTER CRASHING HER CAR INTO A CONCRETE WALL SUNDAY NIGHT. POLICE REPORT 29-YEAR-OLD TERRI HODEL WAS TRAVELING SOUTH ON STATE ROUTE 737 IN BERKS COUNTY WHEN SHE LOST CONTROL OF HER CAR. HODEL WAS FLOWN TO LEHIGH VALLEY HOSPITAL FOR HER INJURIES.
HEARING SET IN PALIN STALKER CASE
A COURT MAGISTRATE IS SET TO CONSIDER A REQUEST BY FORMER ALASKA GOV. SARAH PALIN TO EXTEND A RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST A 19-YEAR-OLD PENNSYLVANIA MAN ACCUSED OF STALKING HER. TODAY'S HEARING, A MAGISTRATE IN ANCHORAGE WILL CONSIDER EXTENDING THE ORDER AGAINST SHAWN CHRISTY OF MCADOO BY SIX MONTHS. PALIN, HER FATHER, CHUCK HEATH, AND HER FRIEND, KRISTAN COLE, ALSO HAVE BEEN SEEKING LONG-TERM PROTECTIVE ORDERS AGAINST CHRISTY'S PARENTS, CRAIG AND KAREN CHRISTY. CRAIG CHRISTY IS ACCUSED OF BARRAGING PALIN'S PARENTS WITH HARASSING TELEPHONE MESSAGES, INCLUDING 26 IN ONE DAY, AND CONTACTING COLE'S CHILDREN ON FACEBOOK. COLE'S REQUEST FOR A PROTECTIVE ORDER AGAINST KAREN CHRISTY WAS DENIED LAST MONTH. PALIN AND COLE OBTAINED ORIGINAL RESTRAINING ORDERS AGAINST SHAWN CHRISTY LAST YEAR.

BALLARD HAS TOLD THE ALLENTOWN MORNING CALL THAT HE FEELS HIS GUILTY PLEA WAS UNAPPRECIATED.
PHOENIXVILLE, PA. (AP) - AUTHORITIES SAY A WORKER DIED AND THREE OTHERS HAVE BEEN HOSPITALIZED BY CHEMICAL FUMES FROM COOLING UNITS IN A VACANT COMMUNICATIONS BUILDING IN CHESTER COUNTY.
