THE REPUBLICAN HERALD REPORTS THAT SENIOR MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT JUDGE MICHAEL MYCHAK REFUSED TO LOWER BAIL DUE TO THE VIOLENT NATURE OF THE CRIME AND GLUNZ IS BEING HELD IN SCHUYLKILL COUNTY PRISON IN LIEU OF $25,000 STRAIGHT CASH BAIL.

HAVEN MAN CHARGED WITH SEX ACTS AGAINST MINOR

A SCHUYLKILL HAVEN MAN HEADED BACK TO COURT TUESDAY AFTER A JUDGE RULED PROSECUTORS PRESENTED ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT CHARGES HE RAPED AND SEXUALLY ASSAULTED A BOY OVER A FOUR-YEAR PERIOD. 36-YEAR-OLD JOSEPH CURRY WAS CHARGED WITH THREE COUNTS EACH OF INVOLUNTARY DEVIATE SEXUAL INTERCOURSE AND AGGRAVATED INDECENT ASSAULT AMONG OTHER RELATED CHARGES. THE REPUBLICAN HERALD REPORTS MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT JUDGE JAMES FERRIER REFUSED A REQUEST BY CURRY’S LAWYER TO REDUCE BAIL. CURRY WAS RETURNED TO PRISON IN LIEU OF $200,000 STRAIGHT CASH BAIL.
