PINE GROVE WATER MAY BE AT INCREASED CONTAMINATION RISK

THE PINE GROVE WATER SYSTEM MAY BE AT AN INCREASED RISK FROM MICROBIAL CONTAMINATION. YESTERDAY, THE SYSTEM EXPERIENCED A DROP/LOSS IN WATER PRESSURE DUE TO A WATER MAIN BREAK. THIS DROP/LOSS IN WATER PRESSURE IS A SIGNAL OF THE EXISTENCE OF CONDITIONS THAT COULD ALLOW CONTAMINATION TO ENTER THE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM THROUGH BACK-FLOW BY BASK-PRESSURE OR BACK-SIPHONAGE. AS A RESULT, THERE IS AN INCREASED CHANCE THAT THE WATER MAY CONTAIN DISEASE-CAUSING ORGANISMS. PINE GROVE WATER CUSTOMERS NORTH OF ROUTE 125 FROM SCHULTZ ROAD TO JACK’S SERVICE CENTER MUST BOIL THEIR WATER BEFORE USE THIS MORNING. THE WATER MAIN BREAK IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED, AND YOU WILL BE INFORMED WHEN ALL CORRECTIVE ACTIONS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AND WHEN BOILING IS NO LONGER NEEDED.
