AT LAST NIGHT’S POTTSVILLE AREA SCHOOL BOARD MEETING, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY REJECTED THE GILLINGHAM CHARTER SCHOOL COLLABORATIVE, STATING A LACK OF COMMUNITY INTEREST, WELL-DEVELOPED CURRICULUM AND WELL-DEVELOPED INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM. THE SCHOOL RESUBMITTED A 300+PAGE CHARTER ON JUNE 1ST HOPING TO OPEN THE SCHOOL AT THE 115 YEAR OLD THREE STORY FORMER GERMAN CATHOLIC SCHOOL BUILDING AT THE 900 BLOCK OF HOWARD AVENUE THIS COMING SEPTEMBER.
