Rhoades Trial

The commonwealth has rested in the case of Thomas Senavitis at the Monroe County Courthouse. State police and forensic experts dominated the first part of the testimony, discussing the post-mortem done on Senator Jim Rhoades, who died from blunt force trauma in the crash with Senavitis' vehicle. Particular attention was paid to the blood alcohol level of Senavitis. Dr. Isidore Mihalikis state the BAC was .355, over three times higher than the legal limit. The defense called four witnesses, two men who were at or near the Beechwood Inn on Route 209 and two people who lived behind the Inn, but were not eyewitnesses to the crash.

Court resumes at 1:45.
