Lockdown at County Courthouse

The Schuylkill County Courthouse was locked down for about 90 minutes today after an envelope was opened and contained what officials believed was a "suspicious white substance". County EMA officials contacted the Berks County Haz Mat team to come in and isolate the situation. While details are limited at this time, the team determine that the material in the letter was not deemed to be dangerous. The FBI and the US Postal Inspector are handling the investigation, and will take the envelope for inspection. The courthouse was reopened around 1pm.
