SANTA ROSA, Calif. (AP) - A California judge says it's up to a jury to decide whether John Karr is guilty of possessing child pornography even though prosecutors have admitted losing key evidence. The trial begins today for the former suspect in the JonBenet Ramsey murder.
WHITE HOUSE (AP) - President Bush will discuss the situation in Iraq today with Turkey's prime minister. Then he begins a three-day fund-raising swing in the West for Republican congressional candidates.

BRIDGEPORT, Wash. (AP) - Firefighters battling an eight-thousand-acre blaze in central Washington state have gotten a break from the wind. That should let them have the fire fully contained by mid-week. The fire is burning about a half-mile from some homes but no evacuations have been ordered.
